Diagnostic for Microsoft Beta Antispyware

D

Danno

I clicked on the Help about on the spyware and clicked on
the diagnostic button and something came up that
interested me.
On the list was the following:
Session.TimeBombDaysRemaining: 130
Session.TimeBombExpirationDate: 07/31/2005

What the hell does this mean???????

Yes, Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta will expire at those specific times then a
full final version will be made available to all licensed Windows Users.
Come on now, you really don't want to run a beta forever?

The terminology may be a bit scary, but if you look at the main page of
Microsoft antispyware, the expiration date is clearly stated every time you
look at the program.

It means it will stop working on that date.

Presumably, Microsoft will either provide a version with a later expiration
date, or a released version with no expiration date before that time.
