Yes, you can; but unless you're in a large or complex business environment
there's no real benefit in doing so. If both routers are allowed to give
out addresses in an unrestricted manner you could wind up with address
conflicts, or if the ranges aren't properly configured you could wind up
segmenting your network such that one side can't see the other side.
