DHCP Unique ID's

Any idea why a DHCP lease would have a strange 30
character string on a few leases instead of the usual MAC
address as the unique ID.

Unable to ping the IP address related to the lease either.

Perhaps it is a RAS lease? Do you have any RAS servers on your network? Are
they configured to use DHCP for RAS clients?
