DHCP Server not realeasing addresses

We accidentally click on the dhcp service and it got uninstalled.
I installed it back on the server and all my settings were lost. I
recreated my superscope and now it doesn't appear to be releasing IP
addresses. Fortunately, my backup dhcp server is working, so I went ahead
and increased the scopes on my backup.
In the mean time, does anybody have any suggestions or ideas on what I could
missing.

Thanks in advance for you help.

This problem has been resolved.

FYI...
A known problem exists with the Windows 2000 DHCP server that causes the
server to ignore a lease release request from a client on another subnet
because releasing the lease causes the DHCP server to use its own IP address
instead of the client's. This problem occurs if you haven't defined a scope
for the DHCP server's primary interfaces local subnet. To work around this
problem, create a scope for the local subnet (you don't have to activate
it).
