Hello:

I have several remote offices running a single domain controller. I have
found on Microsoft's website that you should not run DHCP on Active Directoy
domain controllers. They do post a work around, but still say it is not
recommended.

I have been looking for a 3rd party DHCP servers I can install on my domain
controllers. I thought I could find one that had as many features as
Microsoft's, but so far I have not found one. Does anyone know of any good
DHCP server programs that have all of Microsoft's features in them?

I run MS DHCP on domain controllers all the time, for what it's worth. If
you run a small shop, you often have no choice in the matter. I even (egads)
run Exchange on a DC in single server shops....small offices can't usually
afford multiple servers, and if you have decent hardware, you're usually
fine. Of course, having more than once DC is a much better idea, and you can
even use cheap & cheerful workstation-class h/w to run it on, but you'll of
course need another license to run Windows server...

....and I run DNS on the same boxes, too, in these offices. ;-)
