DHCP problems with Win2k clients

Hello,

Some DHCP clients are having problems renewing their
lease. The event log is showing event id 1003,

The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer
will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from
the network address (DHCP) server.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Some DHCP clients are having problems renewing their
lease. The event log is showing event id 1003,

It seems most of the time problems renewing lease can be traced to
firewall programs or IP Filtering (e.g. Zone Alarm). Traffic on ports
67 & 68 is needed to renew a lease (but not to initially obtain a
lease) and sometimes these ports have been [inadvertantly] disabled.
