Hi,

I am having problems with my netgear wirless router and laptop, I can
no long get the two to talk to each other properly no matter what I
try. When it sets the IP address via dhcp it is set to some
169.somthing value ( where as the assigned range in the setup page
starts with 198.somthing. When I set the IP setting manually on my
laptop to the correct settings then I still can not get http traffic,
although I can ping the router, I have tried re-setting the router to
defaults ( and re-loading my settings) and even done a repair install
on windows XP. Does anyone have any suggestions what to do next ? So
far as I'm aware nothing was changed before it stopped working, I can
test my laptop with our dhcp server at work but I have not been able
to do this just yet. One other thing, plugging my other pc in via the
cat5 cable works ok ( correct IP address via dhcp and http works )
where as the wirless and the cat5 connections to the laptop both show
the same problem.

I'm at my wits end on this.. how can somthing just stop working ?
