DHCP error/problem

Wondering if anyone can help.
I have Win2k running DNS and DHCP.
It has two NIC's, one active 192.168.0.240 and another inactive with no IP.

Today, I had to remove the active NIC and configure the inactive NIC to
replace the other.

I basically disabled the card to be removed and then configured the inactive
card with the same IP address as the one it is replacing.

After configuring it I plugged in the LAN cable and removed the card being
replace.

Since this (after the DHCP leases elapsed) none of the clients can get a new
IP via DHCP. DNS and AD works fine as does all other things (file and
print)

The clients get at 169.x.x.x address however, if I configure the client with
a valid 192.168.0.x address the can access the server (DNS, file and print)
without a problem.

I have deleted and recreated the scope with no affect. One thing I tried
was to unauthorize and re-authorize the DHCP server but when I try and
unauthorize it it fails with an error "The Parameter is incorrect"

Not sure if this would have fixed it if it worked though.

Any ideas?

FIXED.

I new if I posted a request for help I would fix it :)

I needed to follow the info at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;298490&Product=win2000
to configure the bindings for the DHCP service.

(snippet below)
To resolve this behaviour, configure the bindings for the DHCP Server
service:
1.. Click Start, point to Programs, click Administrative Tools, and then
click DHCP.
2.. In the DHCP Console, right-click the server object, and then click
Properties.
3.. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Bindings.
4.. Under Connections and Server Bindings, enable the user interface that
is to be used to service DHCP client requests.
5.. Click OK, click OK, and then close the DHCP Console.
6.. Click Start, point to Programs, click Administrative Tools, and then
click Services.
7.. Locate and restart the DHCP server service.
I then had to re-authorize.
