DHCP DNS FROM NT TO 2000

I need help please. I currently have two servers one on NT 4.0 running DHCP
and DNS. I recently installed a 2000 server and it now has DHCP install and
it's working great. Now I need to put DNS on it too and I don't know how and
must admit a bit scared. and it dont help I'm not the guru at dns either :)
What my goal is to move the dhcp and dns off of nt and have it running on
the 2000 server. Anyone have a step by step on how to do this? and how I
can test it before shutting off the nt server. Since our workstations have
the DNS ip in the networking section I'm just going to rename the 2000 server
to the nt and give it the same ip once I shut off the NT box.

thanks
