I noticed a few posts with people who were having the
same problem that I was. My Windows 2000 Pro machines
were not being assigned IP addresses, instead, an
IPCONFIG /all showed 0.0.0.0 for IP address and subnet
mask.
My problem turned out to be corrupt ISA client software.
Removing the ISA client from the 2000 Pro machines fixed
the problem. Hopefully this will help the rest of you.

Brian

Did you re-install the client or just refresh the client settings? (I wanted
to get this documented internally) :)

To uninstall it just go to add/remove programs. Look for
Microsoft Firewall Client. To re-install there should be
a share on your ISA server called MSPCLNT. Just run
setup.exe from that folder.

Reinstalling the client caused the problem to return. I
will keep you posted.
