DHCP assingments over a segmented network

Frank Toner

I doing a migration and will be segmenting my network into 5 VLAN's
using Cisco switching. I want to use one DHCP server to assign all
VLAN's(except for certain exceptions) from my core network. How do I
configure the Windows 2003 server to send the correct IP's to the
cooresponding VLAN's?

Hi Frank,

The DHCP server config should be simple, create a scope for each subnet
(VLAN). Your switch will need to be configured with DHCP/Bootp relay so it
will forward DHCP requests to the DHCP server.

Thanks,
