DFS replication setup

DaveB

I've set up two Storage Server 2003 NAS boxes and want to
replicate the data on them through DFS.
When I configure replication, I consistently get the
following error:
"In order for \\SERVER1\Employees to join the
replication, the File Replication service on server
SERVER1.DOMAIN.LOCAL needs to be configured as auto-start
and running."
Then at the end it says "The RPC server is unavailable"

I have configured the File Replication service on this
server as auto-start and it is running. I have also
started up the RPC services and they are running.

What am I missing?

You may wish to post this to microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs.

The RPC error you're seeing could be due to DNS problems or other network
issues. You should verify network connectivity between the two machines as
well as authentication (Kerberos, etc.).
