Hell
I had a 2000 domain and did an upgrade to 2003, i have now created a domain dfs roo
\\domain\folder and is on a ring topology across 2 servers. But when i go to browse the roo
\\domain\folder it shows the folder again and again and again 7 times then errors out saying i dont have permission
so i see this
\\domain\folder\folder\folder\folder\folder\folder\folde
Why is it looping over and over and when i go to the server and try to browse the disk to that folder i get an error, i dont have permissions to open it. I am a domain admin, and enterprise admin. Be for i make the root and after i remove the root I have access to the folder (everyone dose

Hi David,

It seems that you have setup your DFS links incorrectly. Can you send me the
output of 'dfscmd.exe /view...' for this DFS root? It seems that you have
created the DFS link pointing back to the root of this same namespace.
