I posted this message some time back but got no response. I'm now pretty
deperate.

I am using a Microsoft Office Keyboard and live in the UK. I have just
reinstalled my OS (Windows XP Home) after being forced to reformat. While
everything else is woprking fine, several of the keys on my MS Office
Keyboard have changed places and I have no GBP symbol.

I removed a previous standard 110 key keyboard driver - loaded as standard
when Windows reloaded - before installing the Office Keyboard driver
downloaded from MS Support. I have checked all language options that I can
find, but I still can't find a solution.

When I try to reload the driver, after having "Uninstalled" from Device
Manager, I get the message that the driver cannot install until the
previous driver is uninstalled.

Can anyone help?

TIA

Ed

Have you checked the 'Regional and Language Options' and 'Keyboard' and also
your Time Zone in 'Date/Time' in Control Panel?

Just a few pointers <g>

Mark, I am eternally in your debt. Found the answer in "Regional & Language
Options" - the only place I had not thought of.

Thanks a million.

This has been answered to your earlier post - give time for people to
notice; this is not a staff of people hanging out to give instant
answers. But to repeat: Go to Control Panel - Regional And Language
Options. Take the Language page and click Details.
There if you do not see United Kingdom under Keyboard for English in the
lower pane, click on Add and search for it in the lower drop down, so
you have English (United Kingdom) and United Kingdom in those two panes.
Click OK. Then in the parent page, select this combination in the
Default Input language in the top drop down, Apply, OK and Apply any
time it is available on the way as you OK out. Then close and restart
to bring it into use.
