desktop

my desktop is not working right you can not move icons they are locked and
there is a folder on the left side that i can not remove went i click on a
icon it showes up in the folder and are not marked as locked please help

Hi wildwheels,

It sounds as though you have got 'Auto Arrange' turned on. Right click on a
blank area of your desktop. One of the items that appears will be 'View' with
an arrow to the side of it. MOve your mouse so that this option is
highlighted. In the menu that appears there will be an option 'Auto Arrange'.
If you click on this option, you can lock (ticked) and unlock (unticked) the
icons. AS for the folder, a bit more information is needed. What is it
called, and what are its contents?
