what is going on with my desk top?when i click on my user name my wallpaper
shows up but no icons! then i relog in again and THEN my icons load up what
is going on?i would realy love some to help me on this one please much
appreciation

i have avg for anti virus.and i have installed ati tv external tv tuner is
was shortly after this that this happened

no it doesnt take the place of graphics card and i dont know what you mean
exactly by lug and play and all that

Go into Administrative Tools located in the Control Panel. Click on
Services. Read down the list.

Plug and Play Startup Type is set to
Manual.

SSDP Discovery Service Startup Type is set to Manual

Universal Plug and Play Device Host Startup Type is set to Automatic

After locating each, double click on the name to enter Properties. Click
on the Down Arrow to see available changes. Click on Apply with any changes
made. Then click OK.
