In windows 98 the text under icons was black on a yellow background. Under XP
the text is white without any background. How do I change the text colour
and/or the background colour in XP

Many thanks

The Text color will change based on the desktop color. R-click the
Desktop, select Properties, select Desktop. (make changes as desired)

You have no control over the text color. It's black if the
background is light, and white if the background is dark.

To change the background, right-click on the desktop and choose
Properties; go to the Desktop tab.
