Desktop Snapshots?

I was wondering... Is there any way of taking a snapshot
of your desktop. I need to incorporate a picture of my
screen in my presentation. If so, How can I do it on
Windows XP?
 
press print screen key (next to F12)
open wordpad document (start all programs accessories)
paste into wordpad document
