Desktop shortcut to EXPLORE a folder

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to create a desktop shortcut to a folder but
rather than open the folder in a normal window, I would like to
'explore' it. Essentially I want the effect to be the difference
between rightclick->open and rightclick->explore. This gives the
directory tree at the side.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

What you need to do is create a shortcut that launches Windows
Explorer with a specific folder as the target. When you create
your shortcut, enter explorer.exe /e, followed by the path to
the folder in the location box. For example, to create a
shortcut that will start Windows Explorer at C:\Windows, you'd
enter the following.

Explorer.exe /e,C:\Windows

I was so close!

For some reason I read somewhere that /root,[path] was how to be
directory-specific and /e was to have the explorer view. But when I
included both switches, it didn't work!

Thanks for that,
