Is there a way to install an Internet Search Icon on my Desktop?

Such as a shortcut to Google or Yahoo.
Right-click on any empty space on your desktop, select >new >
create shortcut > "type" e.g. http://www.google.com > click next >
name your shortcut > click finish > you're done.

No. The Microsoft Windows 2000 Pro Search Icon as in Start/Search/On the
Internet.

If you explain to me what "Pro Search" is, I can help you save it to your desktop
as a shortcut. Is this something that's native to Win 2K, Scott?

Go to Start | Search
Put the mouse pointer over "On the Internet" and hold down the right button
while you drag it to the desktop. Release the right button and left click
on Copy here.
