Desktop Profile Locations

Hi,

Under XP, i would customize the Start Menu so that some programs were in the
"All User" profile and some programs were specific to my profile.

After doing some searches, i found out how to do the same here in Vista.

I also like to customize my Desktop Icons and Favorites as well... where
some go in the "All Users" folder and some go in my profile.

I can not find threads on where the "All Users" DESKTOP folder is. I also
can't find the "All Users" Favorites folder in Vista.

Can someone help me find the locations for the storage of Desktop Icons and
Favorites (again, for individual profiles as well as All Users)?

I hope this makes sense.

I've been banging my head going through all these folders... and there it
was right in front of me. LOL....

Hi,

I had the same head scratching as you when I first got Vista. Someone said
to go to the cmd line and type

dir /al

This will give you a listing of all the new locations.
