Desktop Problems

My Windows XP has recently created a task panel to the left
of my desktop that I can not remove. I go under COntrol
Panel-Themes & Appearances and try to open the folder
options to change the task panel options, but it won't
open. In addition, when I drag my desktop icons, they will
not move or go to the recycle bin, but are not locked. 2
of my users are like this while a 3rd has no problems.
 
Right click on a clear part of the task bar.. click on TOOLBARS.. uncheck
Quicklaunch

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
