Desktop problem

Never seen this problem before
If I click on a program from either the quick launch or the task bar, my
desktop icons disappear.
When I return to the Desktop all icons are nowhere to be seen
Can some solve the problem Sure would appreciate it

Hello
Right click on your desktop and then point to Arrange Icons By then put a
check by Show Desktop Icons

Thanks for the help....but it did not work....any other idea would be

Sounds like a video display issue.

1) Try uninstall recently installed software or update drivers for any new
hardware.

2) Check the HCL Hardware Compatability List and make sure that all of your
hardwatre is listed.

3) Try rolling back or updating the driver for your video card.
