desktop pictures

I have all these pictures in my desktop file and would like to know how to
delete them out? It is not the theme file it is the desktop one. How do I
get all the extra pictures that are of no use to me off?

Try this.

Right click a blank area on the desktop and click Properties.
On the Desktop tab, click Customize Desktop.
On the Web tab, highlight what you want to remove and click the Delete
button.
