Hi

2 days ago I had a huge problem with Trojan/spyware. I ran mostly ever
program that was recommended: Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, SpySweeper, Ewido
Xcleaner, Microsoft Anti-spyware, cwshredder etc and for the most part
my computer is ok. Although after fixing the previous problems, it seem
I have been presented with a multitude of new ones.

My desktop icons text won't go back to transparent either via window
or the following programs: Microangelo, TweakUI or another one which
can't remember the name of.. It seems my active desktop will not tur
off even though I have tried every which way to do so.

Plus, when my computer is booting up, just as it gets to stage wher
you see the desktop for the first time, I get 2 popups saying tha
windows cannot find C:\WINDOWS\inet20099\winlogon.exe I have a coupl
of screen shots too if that's any help. I'm going crazy with this thin
and really don't want to keep downloading millions of programs to fi
what I should be able to do via windows.

I tried to add a HijackThis Log too but says the post is too long..

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this and is able to offer an
suggestions

The error message you're getting about
C:\WINDOWS\inet20099\winlogon.exe is due to the fact that one
of the scans you ran removed the folder but left behind a
registry entry that still points to that file. You can check
the following registry keys and delete the entry if you want:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

In response to my own message - I have just come from microsoft.co
where I read an aritcle explaining how to transfer everything from thi
user account to a new one, as a last resort. This does not work either
I made all the files unhidden etc just as it said, and still th
documents & settings folder for this user account is not accessible.

Don't know what else to try..

In regards to the desktop icons, right click on the Desktop (anywhere) and
click on "arrange icons by", then uncheck the line that says "lock web items
on desktop", which should currently be checked. This will immediately fix the
problem.
