I would like to remove desktop icons and start bar options for other
users on my Vista Ultimate. XP did it when I went to explorer. Not
so sure in Vista.

Thanks.

It sounds like you are looking for the location of the "Start Menu" folders.

For individual accounts, look in:
c:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu"

For "All Users", look in: "c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu"

Close! Here's my example. I have loaded VMware Workstation on my
Vista. My daughter, wife, daugher-in-law, and son have a VMware Icon
on their desktop. If I'm signed in as them and try to delte the icon,
Vista wants to delete the program. I just want the program on my
desktop.

Thanks!!
