Desktop.ini

When I rightclick on an object and try to select sent to desktop, there is no
option to do so. I have checked my send to folder and the desktop.ini file is
in the send to folder.
 
Try these commands from Start/Run, courtesy of David Candy:

regsvr32 sendmail.dll
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
