Desktop Icons

I know I should know this but: My desktop icons have the text descriptions
below each of them and I would like to have the icons only. Used to be that
way, but obviously I checked a box I shouldn't have. Directions?

You didn't uncheck anything,desktop icon has to have

descriptions under otherwise you wouldn't know what the
icon stands for.Relax
