Desktop Icons

Is there a way to keep the desktop icons in the same position as I set
them??

Yes - Put your cursor in any blank spot on your desktop screen and Right
click, go to the first item listed "Arrange Icons By", then select "Align to
Grid" and also have a check by "Show Desktop Icons.
Now you can move you Icons to any place on your desktop and they will remain
in place.
