Desktop icons very slow to respond

MY desktop icons are very slow to respond, sometimes they do not respond
at all and i have to reboot to get all my programs to work properly any clue
or solution to my prob?

Sure. But given the extreme lack of info you provided I'll have to
fire up my crystal ball.

Can you give me an hour or so? It's been at the cleaners and might
need some time to get up to full speed.
