Desktop icons disappeared??!!??!

when I started my computer, all the icons that are
normally on the desktop disappeared. Do you have any
ideas? There was nothing changed of the computer
recently. Thanks

On desktop,press:Ctrl_Alt_Delete At same time,this opens
task mgr,select,new task,type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow
When the bar graph starts,install xp cd,exit the info page.When the graph
is thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then type:EXIT Restart
computer,remove cd.Also,run the DOS window in min.,sometimes
the graph runs behind it.
