Desktop icons disappeared

hey guys, when i double click my documents icon so i can
go into the folder, all of my desktop icons disappear and
in like 5 seconds they reappear but the folder didnt
open, this also happens when i try to open my computer or
any explorer (internet explorer, windows explorer, etc.)
what can i do to fix this?
