Help,
I have been fighting a problem with a Trojan that seemed to removed any
pointers to the actual application. For example, if you open the Control
Panel then execute the Add Remove program icon you would get the following
error "C:\windows\system32 rundll32.exe Application not found". I have
removed the Trojan but it left all of the applications whether it was system
installed or user installation without pointers to the application. How do I
reestablished the connection/link to the programs system/or application.
I have already executed the regsvr32 mshtml.dll, regsvr32 shdocvw.dll -i,
regsvr32 shell32.dll -i, sfc /purgecache and sfc /scannow. The system has
Windows XP Home Edition with SP2. Thanks.
