Hello,
I got a new laptop for home use a couple of weeks ago and it has Vista Home
Premium as the OS. As a computer user for 20+ years I knew at some time I
was going to have to face Vista some time and a new laptop seemed the right
time. I see that I could have 'downgraded' to XP for £40.00!! I'm still
an XP (SP2) user on my desktop pc and work laptop.
So, when I started the new laptop I saw the 'desktop' icon in the 'quick
launch' area and thought why do I need that there when I can see the
desktop! What a plonker I was. I now realise what its function was and
can't seem to find it to re-instate it. Anybody know how I can recover it
to my laptop?? I've had a good look round using the search function and
don't seem to be able to find it.
I do have the 'Desktop' tab in my taskbar which is fine - but of course
serves a completely different function.
TIA.
