When I boot the computer to Windows XP and the desktop appears there are
generic icons and it takes a long time for the regular icons to
appear.Is there a way to speed up this process, because it can take a
minute for the icons to appear and then Windows XP will continue with
the boot process.

Thanks, I just tried that, and will see how that works. Kelly's page is
great, lots of fixes.
