Is there a Windows Vista equivalent to the Windows XP Desktop Cleanup
Wizard.

The Desktop Cleanup Wizard is a program that allows you to identify and
selectively remove unused icons from the desktop

Googling "desktop cleanup wizard vista" would have gotten you the
following answer from the second hit (#2 in the list):

"The Desktop Cleanup function has been removed from Windows Vista. "

No, there isn't. I think too many people complained about how annoying
it was to have the computer reminding of something that was right in
front of their eyes. (I know it's always the first thing I disable
whenever I log into a new WinXP computer for the first time.)

You can do this manually. Much safer but a bit time consuming unless you know what
the icon belongs to.
