Desktop crash with MPEG-2??

Matt Ion

I'm thinking this has to be related to the ATI driver (Radeon 9800Pro
AiW) or something similar... if I view a folder in Thumbnail view with
MPEG-2 files, or if I select an MPEG-2 file with the media preview bar
on the folder (basically, anything that attempts to thumbnail an MPEG-2
file on the desktop), the desktop will crash with a "Data Execution
Prevention" error. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi,

How is your DEP setup? And it might not be the AIW driver that's decoding
your mpeg2 if you have other software/codecs installed?
