Desktop background

I downloaded the wallpaper as suggested by ammndam but mine did not work.
I have looked at those registry problems and I do not have policies as one
of the options. I have current version and then something with a policy but
nothing to do with wallpaper or activedesktop.
I am new to Windows Vista home premium.
Any more suggestions would be appreciated!!
Thanks,
Jacq

Since you didn't post to the original thread (and I'm assuming there was
one), no one knows who "ammndam" is or what s/he suggested or what problems
you are having.

If you are the same person who asked about not being able to change a solid
background in another thread, here is what I replied:

If you can't change Desktop background - Start>Control Panel>Ease of
Access>Ease of Access Center. Under "Make things on the screen easier to
see", deselect the option "Remove background images (where available).
Select "Save".

If that doesn't help, download wallpaper_enable.reg from MVP Ramesh at the
following link - http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/wallpaper_enable.reg

Save the file to Desktop. Right-click on the file and then choose "Merge".

If this was you, please don't multipost (see links below for help with
that). If this wasn't you and this isn't your problem, please post back
with pertinent details (see links below for help with that).
