Currently on the taskbar at the bottome of my desktop it shows the current
time. Is there a way to expand this item to not only show the current time of
day, but also the day and date. For example: Monday Feb 06 2006 1:35 PM.
I know there are programs you can download to do this, but if it can be done
form within the computer I would prefer that.
I would appreciate any info anybody can provide on this subject.
Thanks.

The only way of know of is to unlock the bar and expand it so that it is
twice as wide. Why not just put the cursor over the time to see the date?

There are only two ways to do this: either use a third-party program (I like
TClock) or drag the task bar border to make it two (or more) lines high.

Both ways happen "within the computer." ;-)
