Desk Top Icons

When I restart the computer, the desk top icons are not
arranged as they were before the restart. How can I keep
the desk top the same? I am on a company network an have
administrator rights.

Sounds like it may be a case of using Auto Arrange. If
so, here is the fix. Right-Click on the desktop >>
Arrange Icons >> Remove the check next to Auto Arrange.

One cause might be if you are running anything which change the
"Display" mode to another size or number of colors. This could be your
video card's utilities, a game, crash, etc. If it just started
occurring, then you might check the settings for any software or
hardware you have recently installed.

There are also several utilities which will save and restore your icon
arrangements:
Activicons (freeware) - http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_ai.html for links
(the options to save and restore the arrangement are on its "Desktop
Controls" screen).

EZ-Desk ($15) - http://members.aol.com/EzDesk95/index.html

- return address is altered slightly to reduce spam.
