Desk stop shortcut

From AOL 8.0 plus I tried to creat a shorcut for MSN.COM
and I have now the whole screen with MSN and the butterfly
and cannot get rid of it. I have right clicked to see if I
could deleted but no. I have gone to taksbar and nothing.
I went to display and the only thing I found I could do,
was to change to Classic Windows.Went back to XP and again
that shortcut appeared. Please, I would appreciate any
suggetions or any help you can give me. GW
