Am designing a golf score card, two on the same sheet. Am
attempting to re-size columns in card one and it changes
card two. They are above each other. Any way to make
adjustments to card one without it effecting card two.

They have to remain above each other for printing purposes.

Thank you

Column widths affect the entire column. You say you can't put the 2nd card to
the right of the 1st, so, instead of widening a column on one card, allow the
text to spill over into a blank column on the right.

You might want to do this in Word, setting up a table for each card. The two
tables can have different column widths. Or, if you have it, MS Publisher (a
DTP program).

Hi
you can't change the width of a column only for a specific part of your
sheet. Some workarounds:
- split your score card on two separate sheets
- you can use a macro for printing which adjustes the column width (but
if both parts should go on the same printed page this also won't work)
- maybe 'merge cells' (in the Format - Cells - alignment dialog) can
help -> though merged cells will create problems for calculation,
filtering, etc.

Another option is to design the cards side-by-side on the one sheet, then copy
each card and paste as a picture down below. Set the print area to include
just the "pictures".

If you want to try this, select the range the makes up the 1st card and
Edit/Copy it. Select a cell below the two cards, HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY, and
click on Edit, Paste Picture. (Note: you won't see Paste Picture on the Edit
menu unless you hold down the SHIFT key before you click on Edit.)

Do the same with the 2nd card, pasting the picture below the 1st card.

As I mentioned above, set the print area to include just the pictures. Note
that the pictures are static -- they don't update when you change the source
data, so you should finish designing the cards before you paste the pictures.
