Design View - Bottom portion disappeared

My co-worker is working on Access 2003, for some of the
queries when viewing in design view, the bottom half of
the screen, where the fields are listed and the scroll
bar, has disappeared. How can we get it back?
 
He can't see any of the grid, only the tables and then a
gray screen, this is not the relationship view, we are in
the design view. This is happening to several queries.
 
i know. but can you resize the query. they are sizeable.
just grab the edge of the query and see if you can drag it
to a larger size.
 
This very strange, there is nothing to resize, he has the
scrollbar to the right, we have scrolled all the way to
the bottom, there is no grid, no bottom half to grab on
to. We share this database, I have Access 2002, I have no
problem viewing the grids on these queries.

strange indeed. they are suppose to be sizable. I can make
the bottom of my queries disappear but i can also resize
them back.
