design changes every time form opens

Hello,

I am using an Access Form for data entry. There is a subform inside which brings up a list of matching last names. Every time I open the form initially, its appearance is different. The subform is in the footer section and the main form is in the detail section, and the problem is a space between the two sections. I can change the appearance in design view but I need the form to be consistent for PC-illiterate users.

From what you are describing just very little it look like that your form is bigger then the size of your moniter and so when forms opens it is openning at differet places where it was closed last time. To avoid this make sure your form is smaller then then the moniter screen. or on open comand set focus on one of the lable field so it opens with that same field all the time.
