deselecting multiple objects in form/report designer

I know I can use the shift key with the mouse to select multiple objects in
the form or report designer, but is there a way to remove some (not all) of
the objects that have been selected without having to shift+click each one
individualy that is to be removed? Something like Alt+Shift+mouse drag???
I've tried all I can think of. Foxpro allows this and it's very useful.
Can I do this in Access?

Also, when 2 controls are very close to each other (but not touching), in
Foxpro I can put my mouse pointer right between them and click so that
nothing is selected until I drag my mouse. In Access, if 2 controls are
close, and you try to click between them so you can marquis around let's say
some of the controls to the left of the gap, it's IMPOSSIBLE to avoid
clicking one of the 2 objects that are close to each other. Anyone know how
to solve this one (and still continue to use ms access)?

THanks,

Keith

Keeping the shift key down and repeatedly clicking an object will
alternately select and deselect it from the group.

One or two other little tips you may or may not know are:

Holding the Ctrl key and hitting the arrow keys, will move your
selected control(s) around.

Doing the same but with the Shift key instead, will change their sizes.

To get textboxes so close they don't overlap vertically (useful for
reports), use Format > Vertical Spacing > Decrease.

Thanks, but I believe I already said that above and that I was looking for a
smoother way to remove multiple controls from the selection that didn't
involve "shift+click each control individualy".

Anyone else able to answer the issues above?

:)

You don't need to surround controls in order to select them. You can
stretch a line through several controls vertically and/or horizontally
without actually surrounding them. Does that information help?
