Deploying Runtime Licenses

Hi,



I'm deploying my runtime licenses and have a few questions. I have added my
runtime license number to my configuration in Target Designer in the Run
Time image Licensing section. When I build my image and deploy it, the
config crashes during boot with a blue screen complaining about a license
violation. I bought 12 runtime licenses is the license number the number on
the Microsoft sticker on each of 12 cards I received? Its in the format
XXXXX-XXX-XXX-XXX ? Do I need to enter the hyphens (-'s)?



I want to build 12 consoles. Do I need to compile a configuration for each
console with its own license number?

PID number should be in xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx format.
You can find PID on COA stickers. If not, please contact your XPe distributor.

No, you will need to use one PID number only.

I have a 10 pack and 2 single license numbers. So what you are saying is
that I pick any one of my licenses and use that to build all 12 systems?
Will this satisfy Microsofts Licensing requirements? Could I put the
License number in the DeviceLicense= section of the WERUNTIME.INI file for
each of the 12 systems?

No, my comment was different. According to your previous message, you wanted
to build 12 same devices.
Please check out the agreement you signed purchasing the licenses or contact
your XPe distributor.

In general, you can use the license on the devices that are covered by that
license (the same device type, not running out of the numbers of devices
covered by the licence, etc.).

You don't need to edit WERUNTIME.INI file manually.
You should put the right PID in TD.
