department email

We are working in a preoject department with around 10 persons. Everybody has
it own speciallity and tasks in the department. We are all using our personal
email adresses, so we face the problem that one person doesn't know what the
other is doing.
We thought about a common email, but we are afraid that we will be over
loaded with emails if all these individual email will be send to one common
email adress.

I would like to get some ideas of who other companies solve this problem?

Many thanks!!

This really isn't the forum to post to. A Microsoft Access database forum
really has nothing to do with this. Perhaps you could find another forum
which is more applicable?

One thing would be to setup an Access database which tracks your
individual tasks. And given them a priority and a status including
such things as "working on it", "sometime soon" and completed. You
may also want to add date last worked on the task and of course the
person.

However everyone would have to update this at least once per day to
keep things accurate. Even if it's nothing more than "still working
on that stupid project for that idiotic VP."
