DEP on AMD Athlon64 machine

I should get a notification whenever DEP is preventing a software from
executing.

But on my machine I don't get any notice if I try to execute a program that
triggers DEP. (e.g. NXTEST http://user.cs.TU-Berlin.DE/~normanb )

How do I get DEP to show me that "Data execution prevention, A Windows
security feature has ..." message box ?

I have an Athlon64 system running Windows XP SP2.

Btw, I also have Windows XP x64 CPP installed on this machine, and there I
get that error message box.

SP2 is NOT considered for XP 64bit:

Look up "Systemrequirements..."
