DEP closes Internet Explorer 8

I just installed IE8 today, finally, after a clean boot and everything went
great and seemed to run great. I selected a few add ons but only those shown
and recommended within the IE8 tour. I do not have Google Tool Bar.

Actually, everything seemed to be working fine and then later in the day I
downloaded and installed History Killer Pro. I don't know if this could cause
a problem or not. It's Vista compatible.

It seems I can open IE8 and use it fine for the most part, but for instance,
I used the snipping tool to make a screen shot snip and when I open that from
my desktop where it was saved as a gif, IE closes every time.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

I have to add something to this. After I posted this I opened that snip
mentioned twice and IE didn't close down. I can't figure out what is going on
here.

DEPs in IE8 are mostly caused by incompatible add-ons (had that poblem too).
Go to the Extras menu in IE8, select manage addons... and disable the
installed addons
one after the other, beginning with your "snipping tool". Then see, whether
IE8 runs stable again.

Why do you use that tool? Just press "PrtScr", open the gaphics program of
your choice
and press "Ctrl" "V".

I used the tool because I wanted to be able to insert some pictures right
into the body of the email so my cousin could see what I was referring to
without having to open a bunch of attachments and try to match each
attachment with what I was talking about.
