deny shut down

ill be being away from my pc and accessing it remotely for a month
is there any way i can make absolutely sure that i wont shut it down
accidentally from remote access?
and/or some mechanism to turn it on remotely after accidentally doing
start>shut down?
id appreciate any help

AFAIK there is no way to prevent someone simply pulling the plug and
shutting down the PC. You could put it on a UPS to prevent power failures of
short duration from shutting the PC down. If it does shutdown you could try
using Wake-On-LAN to power up the PC remotely. I believe you would need to
forward/open UDP Port 9 through any firewall/router the PC is behind.

You can turn it on, on schedule, using BIOS options.

im afraid youre right about pulling out the plug, i am referring to
accidentally go to start > shut down "remotely" and shut down the remote
computer, what do i do then?
help a dummy:
what is wake-on-lan and how do i open port 9

Wake-On-LAN is described on the page I pointed you to. Check your
firewall/router manual for help forwarding/opening UDP Port 9. If your
connected directly to the public internet and your PC is running the XP SP2
Windows Firewall see this page for help...

That's processor and bios. What about computer brand and make or motherboard
